I met Rua and her lovely family (mom and dad, brother and sister) Dec. 15, '17 when they were visiting NYC from Ireland. She was surprised when I showed her the drawing and said she would like to have it.
This was drawn outside the French Roast on 11th and 6th Ave. I did so many drawings and paintings there. Alas it closed. But it will always be embedded in my memory.
I met Ana in the park on my corner. She lived in a residence nearby. We went for a walk after I drew her. She
is bent over reading the paper. She said she would like to keep the drawing but feared she would lose it where she lived. We agreed to have coffee sometime.
This image I saw on my cement wall in my patio. The woman with the hat reminded me of Ana (see pic to the left) and I see myself as the man in green.
This man stands in a very popular spot in front of a church where many people pass from Lex. on 43rd St. to go to 3rd Ave.
I drew this mom and her son in Le Pain Quotidian. Having no idea I was drawing her and her son
she was delighted and gave me permission to post it on my art site. I always ask permission.
I met Vera in the park at 46th and 2nd. She lived nearby. She had no idea I was drawing her and this is her smile when I showed her.
Rio was standing on the street asking for food money. I asked if she would like me to draw her. "I am ugly" she said. I said "Who told you that. You are beautiful to me." She smiled when I showed her the finished drawing. "No one ever drew me before". I said I would
be honored if I could post it on my site.
I painted this after a troublesome dream imaging about might happen to our earth if our "leaders" acted on impulse.
